- Several Rootswebs sources gives James Davis as James David. I am going with "Davis" as that is the information in the source I have directly from Leslie May Donaghy.
- The Palfenier Connections 29 Mar 2007 Rootsweb source refers to a Jacob Slook who is one of this Jacob Slook's uncles, not this Jacob Slook. This source will be useful for looking at Jacob's father John Slook Jr.
